Are emergency vehicles exempt from certain traffic laws when answering emergency calls?

Yes, according to Florida case law, emergency vehicles such as fire apparatus, ambulances, and police cars are exempt from the necessity of strict obedience to traffic signals, speed laws, and other traffic regulations.
