Can a car accident victim collect damages for loss of future earning capacity for permanent injuries?

Yes, according to Florida case law, if a car accident victim can prove through evidence, such as a doctor’s testimony, that the injuries he or she sustained are permanent, the injured person may be entitled to recover for loss of future earnings.

See: City of Tampa v. Long, 638 So. 2d 35 (Fla. 1994);
